Francis Faux is an experienced, friendly, and passionate musician based in Bath who is known for his flamboyant and energetic choral directing. He has a range of conducting experience over a wide variety of styles including musicals, operas, choral and orchestral works.
He also offers tuition for piano players and is committed to working with and inspiring musicians of all ages and standards.
Francis teaches piano at his home in Larkhall, and within the Bath area, on all weekdays throughout the year.
He has a 100% pass rate record for Associated Board exams and is also available as an accompanist for ABRSM and Trinity exams, concerts, choir practices and other rehearsals.
His current engagements include working as conductor for
Organum and
The Good Afternoon Choir, deputy conductor for the
Bath Chorus as well as lecturing in musical theatre at Bath Spa University, coaching singing at Curtain Up Theatre School and acting as repetiteur and guest conductor for Bath Opera. He also teaches piano at Downside School and Oldfield Girls School in Somerset.

4 December 2010, 7.30 pm: An advent celebration, St John the Baptist Church, BatheastonOrganum's next concert will be their first to be given entirely by candlelight.
This promises to be a highly atmospheric event where there will be a variety of festive choral music combined with readings and poems chosen especially for the occasion.
Talented local soprano, Hannah Lockwood, will also be performing a selection of arias by Handel, Vivaldi and Puccini.
