FRANCIS FAUX
Composer for
Film, Games & the Stage
Most of the music I write begins with a story in mind.
That’s taken me from games and film through to pieces for piano and choir, usually led by melody and the occasional tendency to overthink a single chord for far too long. My background as a chorister, along with learning piano from an early age, has shaped how I think about music today.
I’ve always been drawn to storytelling in sound, which became particularly important to me as I don’t easily visualise stories from fictional literature.
Game music in particular feels like such an exciting and evolving art form that deserves far more recognition than it often receives. I’m passionate about championing that space through my creative work and educational projects.
Alongside this, I write lyrical and melodic music for piano and choir, with a growing interest in more ambient and experimental textures when the project calls for it.
If you’re working on something and think I might be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you.
