This song of ritual was awarded 2nd prize in the inaugural YL Male Voice Choir composition competition (September 2025) and explores the extremes of human experience through music. The opening and closing sections set a text found scrawled on the wall of an underground bunker in the USA, capturing the Bacchic frenzy of a pagan ritual. In contrast, the middle section is contemplative, reflecting on life’s relentless march toward death. The piece blends primal energy with introspection, taking listeners on a powerful emotional journey.
